Financial Support for Survivors
The Survivors of Gender-Based Violence Housing Benefit covers up to 100% of your rent or mortgage. The December 6 Fund (YWCA Halifax) offers interest-free loans up to $500 for damage deposits, moving costs, and utilities. Call 782-414-5715.
Your Pets Are Safe Too
Paws & Support (NS SPCA) provides free pet fostering while you flee. A foster family cares for your pet until you are safe. Contact a support agency who will arrange it.For Newcomers
