You can help protect them

If you suspect an older person is being abused, neglected, or taken advantage of — whether by a family member, caregiver, or institution — you can report it. Adult Protection Services can intervene and provide help. The person does not need to ask for help themselves. You can report anonymously.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 911. Abuse of older adults is never acceptable — it is not a private family matter.
