Nova Scotia has a network of organizations providing culturally responsive services for the African Nova Scotian community.
Association of Black Social Workers (ABSW)
Culturally responsive social services including family support, youth programs, advocacy, community development, and referrals to culturally competent services. Call 902-404-4646 or visit absw.ca.
Health Association of African Canadians (HAAC)
Culturally responsive health services, counselling, health navigation, and community programs addressing the specific health needs of the Black community. Visit haac.ca.
NS Brotherhood Initiative
Free, culturally appropriate health care program for Black men in Nova Scotia. Includes primary medical care, clinical therapy, and wellness services. Designed by and for men of African descent.
Black Cultural Centre for Nova Scotia
Cultural preservation, education, and community programs. Houses archives of African Nova Scotian history. Located in Cherry Brook. Call 902-434-6223 or visit bccns.com.

Community Organizations
Historic African Nova Scotian communities including East Preston, North Preston, Lucasville, and Beechville have active community development associations providing local advocacy, youth programs, and community support. Call 211 for connections.
